‘Probe Charges Against Uppal MLA’, AP High Court, Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation. The petitioner advocate alleged that several illegal constructions, including construction of a temple and digging of borewell contrary to law in the water bed area.
A division bench of the AP High Court comprising Chief Justice Kalyan Jyoti Sengupta and Justice PV Sanjay Kumar directed the Commissioner of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) to inquire into the complaint made against Bandari Raji Reddy, Congress MLA representing Uppal constituency, and his supporters for alleged encroachment of Kapra lake. The bench made the order in a PIL filed by M Srinivas Yadav, advocate of Cyberabad area, who sought action against the MLA and his henchmen under the Land Grabbing Act for alleged encroachment of the lake.
The petitioner advocate alleged that several illegal constructions, including construction of a temple and digging of borewell contrary to law in the water bed area.
