Tirupati: The `Hindu Garjana' held here on Friday strongly opposed the Heera Islamic University coming up near Tirupati and urged the government to take suitable action against the management of the institutions.

The pontiffs, including Swamy Swarupananandendra of Vizag, Siva Swamy of Saiva Peetam and Kamalananda Bharathi of Hindu Devalayala Parirakshna Samithi, Hyderbad, who addressed the gathering (Hindu Garjana) reaffirmed that their struggle would go on till their demand was met.

Interestingly the speeches at the supposedly apolitical meet smacked of political overtones with the Swamijis often stressing on electing a person as prime minister who could respect the sentiments and rights of the Hindus at large.
Hailing the recent election verdict in the four states Saiva Peetam Siva Swamy said it amply revealed that the Hindus could not be taken for granted and portended that the pseudo secular parties would face the same defeat in the coming 2014 elections. “We are not against the Muslims of Tirupati, many of whom worship Lord Venkateswara, but opposing the `alien force' penetrating into them and tryng to mislead them'', he said. Swamy Swarupanandendra said that Hindus were more secure during the British Raj than now.
Vehemently opposing the Islamic University coming up near Tirupati, he asked whether anyone could set up Mutts or Vedapathasalas near masjids or any of other religious places.
Cautioning against the attempts to intrude into the sanctity of Tirupati and Tirumala, he said that Srivari Dandu, a special force of Hindus, would be floated to protect Tirumala and Tirupati, the holy places of Hindus world over.
Stating that Hindus were keen on a person becoming prime minister to respect their sentiments and take care of their interests, Kamalananda Bharathi said euphemistically that `If not Kolkata Narendra, it will be Gujarat Narendra'' this time who would see Hindus achieve their goals.
