Water Board Sets Agenda For New Year. The Managing Director complimented the employees for record revenue collections of about Rs 58 crore during Dec’13 and billing 4.40 lakh water supply connections.
The officers and staff of HMWS&SB celebrated the New Year 2014 at the Board Office, Khairatabad on Wednesday.
On the occasion, J Syamala Rao, Managing Director, HMWS&SB cut the cake and wished a successful year for the employees, customers and other stakeholders.
The MD also released the 2014 diary & table calendar of HMWS&SB engineers association on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Syamala Rao said that the New Year offers full of opportunities and challenges. By collective team work, he hoped like yesteryears, this year also, the employees would realise the objectives set up by the government and meet the customer’s needs, and bring name fame & glory to the board.
The Managing Director complimented the employees for record revenue collections of about Rs 58 crore during Dec’13 and billing 4.40 lakh water supply connections.
The MD observed that the HMWS&SB is entering into its silver jubilee year of formation and is about to complete two major drinking water supply schemes viz., Krishna DWSS Phase III and Godavari DWSS Phase-I, in this year. Also there is likelihood of NRCD Phase II and JNNURM Ph-I works coming up in this year, which together would help in alleviating the problems of drinking water and safe sewerage disposal in the ever-growing areas of the GHMC.
The Managing Director said that the board would complete staff assessment shortly and recruitment for all the vacant posts would also be completed this year.
