IT minister KT Rama Rao had formally launched Salaam Telangana on October 14. The show serves as a platform to discuss persisting issues in the new State.
Show hosts RJ Shekar and Swapna distributed solar lamps to kids from Akshaya Vidya programme in Saroornagar slum. Akshaya Vidya, a programme by Ekalavya Foundation, educates kids in slums, by hiring tutors from the same slum and offers them a stipend.
