On the occasion of World Sparrow Day, a slew of events have been lined up today at Necklace Road

A march from PV Ghat, Necklace Road to Sanjeeviah Park will be held on Friday to mark the occasion of the World Sparrow Day. Deputy Chief Minister Mahmood Ali pledged his support for Animal Rehabilitation and Protection Front’s (ARPF) NEST Sparrow Conservation project.

The march will be followed by bird watching at Sanjeeviah Park, an art competition for kids and students and a mime act on sparrow conservation. NEST box sale, NEST box fixing at various green spaces, mask making competition on sparrow theme will also be held. Other highlights will include the Bajaj Avenger Club - Hyderabad taking out a bike rally and a cyclothon. Meanwhile the TSPCB and NGC have given out a statement on Wednesday appealling the citizens to protect the house bird.
