Arrangements for Shobha Yatra in place

Elaborate arrangements have been made for the Shobha Yatra procession that will be taken out to mark Hanuman Jayanthi on Saturday. Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Commissioner Somesh Kumar and Hyderabad Police Commissioner M Mahendar Reddy, along with senior officials of various departments inspected the arrangements.

Somesh Kumar stated that the civic body was coordinating with the police and other government departments for the smooth conduct of the procession. The roads have been patched up and street lights fixed. Additional lighting facilities have also been installed. Ten GHMC workers and one supervisor have been deployed to monitor the procession at every 200 metre.

Commissioner Mahendar Reddy said that fool-proof security arrangements were being made for the procession. “The entire procession would be monitored through CCTV cameras installed at various important locations across the city,” said Mahendar.Additional Commissioner (H&S) N Ravi Kiran and senior officials from the police, Water Board and other departments also participated in the inspection.
