A conclave on quality in nursing.To discuss the quality in nursing and its impact on the quality in healthcare, Continental National Nursing Conclave 2015 was held recently in Hyderabad.

To discuss the quality in nursing and its impact on the quality in healthcare, Continental National Nursing Conclave 2015 was held recently in Hyderabad. Over 300 delegates from across India including doctors, nurses, quality experts, nursing leaders, clinical directors, senior consultants and bureaucrats attended the conclave which laid emphasis on identifying the true meaning of ‘Quality’ in nursing.

Speaking at the conclave, principal secretary of government health, medical and family welfare department Suresh Chanda said, “Nursing profession is noble as nurses provide care, service and optimistic environment to patients. Use of machines, IT and new technologies should be imbibed in the medical system, so that no person is deprived of good healthcare.”

Continental Hospitals chairman Dr Guru N Reddy said, “The gift of nursing is an intimate journey with the patient and family from the miracle of birth to the mystery of death. This profession gives you an opportunity to serve more than eight billion people. Nurses have tremendous opportunities to serve the health care sector.”

The conclave engaged both the delegates and speakers through panel discussions, debates and speaker sessions on various topics related to quality management in nursing. The event also witnessed a poster making competition, in which various delegates showcased their creativity.
