Caste-Free India Run tomorrow.The fourth edition of ‘Run for Caste-Free India’, under the joint auspices of Dalit Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DICCI) and Shanti Chakra International, will begin by 6.30 am at People’s Plaza, Necklace Road, on Tuesday.

According to the DICCI’s south India president Ravi Kumar Narra, who was conferred the Padma Shri last year, the run is held to commemorate the birth anniversary of Babasaheb Dr B R Ambedkar. He said that this was their way of paying tribute to the intellectual-statesman and the architect of modern India.

Against a participation of around 8,000 last year, Ravi Kumar expects a participation of over 10,000 persons this year, including youngsters, intellectuals, socialites, corporate professionals, bureaucrats, politicians and celebrities from sports and the film industry.

The founder-chairman of DICCI Milind Kamble along with a host of national team leaders will also participate in the run, which is aimed at perpetuating the vision of Ambedkar and bringing about progressive societal vibrations for a better India as envisioned by him.People interested in participating in the run can have further details from Organsing Committee members on Tel Nos: 040-6677-2323/6540-2276.
