Dressed to kill

The city saw a stunning fashion night by Kaira with shuttler Saina Nehwal walking the ramp. She was announced as the brand ambassador earlier. The brand’s Spring-Summer Collection was unveiled at the show.

Dressed in an elegant salwar kameez, Saina said, “This is a first-of-its-kind endorsement for me. It’s a completely different experience. It is very important for international players to have a style statement, as they travel a lot. It is important to look good when you know you are watched internationally.”

About her style statement, Saina said, “Be it Indian or western, style statement for me is wearing something that suits my body well and is comfortable at the same time.” The show started with models showcasing ethnic wear, which included netted churidars with dark and bright prints and impressive embroidery and stone work.

Following this, models donned in indo western outfits themed for party, which featured tops and printed pants, some paired with a jacket. The collection also featured crop tops and off shoulder tops paired with palazzos. Actress Zoya Afroz was the showstopper. Yasin Khan played tracks on the violin.
