Sweekaar Academy of Rehabilitation Sciences (SARS) celebrated the World Voice Day with an aim to sensitise professionals and the general public on the importance of the voice in our daily lives, as a tool of communication and as an application of a large number of sciences, such as physics, psychology, phonetics, art, and biology.

The head of the speech and audiology department and the faculty conducted a practical session to highlight the causes of voice deficiency, its disorders and its prevention. Dr P Hanumantha Rao, founder and chairman, said, “Parents should be in a position to diagnose any deficiencies of their children while talking and should immediately report to speech and audiology specialists for early intervention to cure the problem.”
