She opined that Annual Credit Plan for the year should be concrete and lend more support to education, small business and housing loans. Amberpet MLA G Kishan Reddy put across the problems faced by the poor beneficiaries. “Beneficiaries are made to run from pillar to post, since the submission of the loan application to scheme being grounded, which is close to three to four months. Banks should focus more on the poor and weaker section of the society and also encourage Self Help Group lendings to women,” he observed.

Addressing the gathering, State Bank of Hyderabad (SBH) lead bank manager Nageswar Rao said, “The Annual Credit Plan for the year 2015-2016 would be implemented in full, as per the targets allocated to respective participant banks. Instructions have been given the concerned bank heads for cent percent grounding of the schemes by the financial year ending.”

“Pensions to the aged, widows and physically handicapped would be distributed promptly at their respective centres before fifth of every month through bank accounts to ensure prompt and hassle free credit to their account,” the district collector said.
