When two big guns from Australia come together on one platform and if one of them is a speedster dreaded by all his contemporary batsmen and the other is the foundation for developing robust body then the effect would be mindboggling and perhaps spellbinding.

When two big guns from Australia come together on one platform and if one of them is a speedster dreaded by all his contemporary batsmen and the other is the foundation for developing robust body then the effect would be mindboggling and perhaps spellbinding.

That is precisely what is round the corner following the decision taken by Functional 45 (F45), a global leader in functional training system to rope in Australian national icon Brett Lee as their brand ambassador.

It made its India debut with the launch of its first fitness studio in Hyderabad’s Jubilee Hills locality. It inauguration was done by Lee and its India head Pradeep Palli on Monday.

Explaining the salient features of F45, Palli said that it was a 45-minute high-intensity, interval training (HIIT) workout that has transformed celebrities in Australia and New Zealand, including X Men’s Wolverine, Hugh Jackman and Nicole Richie.

Stating that Indians are moving towards fitness and overall well-being as a means to de-stress themselves, Palli, a certified personal trainer from Australian Institute of Fitness, pointed out that the Indian fitness industry currently valued at a whopping $2.4 billion, is slated to grow at a CAGR of 25 percent.

Lee said, "F45 is by far the most innovative training system in the world. It has to be experienced, to be believed.” Not surprisingly, Lee will train upcoming cricketers on the importance of fitness.
