The Global Foundation for Ethics and Spiritual Health (GFESH) hosted its fourth annual conference with the theme ‘Medical Profession at the Cross Roads,’ at Avasa Hotel on Sunday.

The Global Foundation for Ethics and Spiritual Health (GFESH) hosted its fourth annual conference with the theme ‘Medical Profession at the Cross Roads,’ at Avasa Hotel on Sunday. The conference laid great emphasis on maintaining medical ethics in an era when such values are dwindling rapidly amongst professionals.

Motivational speaker and life coach, His Grace Gaur Gopal Das delivered the keynote address at the conference. The thrust of the conference and the foundation was briefed as, “It is to bring science and spirituality together with the aim to provide holistic healthcare solutions to help promote ethics and spiritual health in medical practice and to shift focus from treatment of disease to wellness of communities, families and individuals.”

The audience was enlightened by speakers on how to overcome the hidden crisis of modern medicine becoming increasingly mechanistic without deeper understanding of human needs, how to inculcate human values of compassion, care, respect and patience in day to day practice to become an exemplary doctors and human being etc.

Members GFESH who included, Chairman (Mumbai) Dr Ajay Sankhe; Organising Secretary and Chairperson of GFESH, Hyderabad Dr Kavitha Chintala; Chairman of LV Prasad Eye Institute Dr G N Rao; Addl DGP, Mumbai V V Laxminarayana and Director of DME, Dr Ramani were present at the conference.
