No animal sacrifice celebrations at Katta Misamma temple
Mahankali Bonalu Jatra was celebrated on at Maredpally, Chilkalguda, Lower Tank Bund and other parts of the city celebrated on Sunday. Katta Misamma temple at the Lower Tank bund road had no animal sacrifice around the temple premises and the people performed pooja by the use of coconut, pumpkins and limes.
Horticulture department distributed 10,000 plants to the devotees as a part of the govt of Telangana’s initiative ‘Haritha Haram.’ Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) also provided drinking water packets to the devotees at the temple.
