Paralympics medal winners honoured
Three Rio Paralympics medal winners, which included Devendra Jhajharia (two golds in men’s javelin throw), MariyappanThangavelu (gold in men’s high jump) and Varun Singh Bhati (bronze in men’s high jump), were felicitated during the inauguration of ‘Sumadhura Acropolis’ in Hitec City over the weekend.

Madhusudhan G (Chairman, Sumadhura Group), Mahender Reddy (Minister of Transport), Venugopal Chary (Telangana State Representative to the Centre) and Maganti Gopinath (MLA of Jubliee Hills) presented a cheque of Rs 5 lakh each to the para-athletes.
Speaking on the occasion, Madhusudhan said, “The achievements of these para-athletes deserve special commendation as they have emerged as champions amply demonstrating that challenges exist only in the mind. I am heartened by the proud achievements of these champions. I could not think of any better occasion than today to honour their achievements as we are celebrating the launch of our iconic luxury property.”
