Subhashni Giridhar\'s Bharathanatyam recital “VividhaNritya\" included kritis/ padams from five different languages. The programme was held last weekend  at Shilpararamam. She started with Ganapatini Sevimpararey, in Telugu, by Tyagaraja praising Lord Narthana Gana path.

This was followed by an Abhang by Bhanudasa in Marathi, “Vrindavani Venuvaazey” In this Subhashni depicted the scene of Vrindavan the whole of Vrindavan is filled and resounding with beautiful flute notes played by Lord Krishna.

Even the cows immersed in the beautiful tune of flute, have forgotten to graze, both cow and lion are together forgetting their enmity. Birds were sitting peacefully on the trees instead of flying. Devas are enjoying and showering their grace.

Next Subhashni went on to perform yet another Padam in praise of Lord Krishna, “Krishna nee Beganebaaro” in Kannada.Next item was a Tanjore Quartet padam in Tamil, “Anandathandavam”. In this celestial dance of Lord Nataraja in Chidambaram, was shown.

This was followed by a Meerabhajan in Hindi, “Hari Tum Haro”, “Draupadi maana samrakshan”, Lord Narasimha Avatar, Gajendra Moksha. Subhashni Giridhar in ekaharya, portrayed all the characters by quick change of expressions of Draupadi, Lord Krishna, Dushasan, Bhaktha Prahlada, Lord Narasimha, Gajendra king elephant, rakshas crocodile and Lord Krishna.

Next was a composition by MahakaviBharathi also known as Bharathiyar in Tamil, showing mother’s love. Chinnanchiru Kiliy Ekannamma, Vaatsalyabhav, mother’s love is shown. The concert ended with a Tillana.
