A creative hang-out

‘Jxtapose’ is a co-working space started by seven students of the two Telugu States. The team comprises of Teja, Akshay, Rachana, Gayatri, Sravan, Prerna and Shruti, whose main objective is to encourage creative people to grow in their respective fields.

Located at Jubilee Hills, Road No 36, ‘Jxtapose’ brings together designers, artists, sculptors, architects, craftsmen, performers, writers, dancers, singers, actors and everyone in the creative field and to create a community of like-minded folks across Hyderabad.

The group of seven members consists of six architects and one civil engineer. “There are many opportunities for IT people in Hyderabad and none for creative people.

We started Jtxapose to give opportunities for people with a creative bent. We organised our pre-launch events between April 8 and May 14 and we are planning to launch it officially on May 27. Till now we have organised many seminars and workshops,” said Shruti, one of the co-founders, Jxtapose.

“It is a platform that encourages collaboration and networking. We facilitate exhibitions and workshops to showcase works of upcoming artists. It is first-of-its-kind in Hyderabad and the community aspires to be an integral part of the city’s cultural life; a nucleus of creative’s and art enthusiasts.

With both a physical and virtual presence, Jxtapose is all about discovering the hidden talent, finding inspiration and making things happen,” adds Shruthi.

Shruthi also said, “Jxtapose is a place where you can meet actors for your next play, find a coder to help you with your website, get your own desk to brainstorm for new ideas and spend an evening indulging in creativity and interesting people. We are planning to expand Jxtapose all over India.”
