In a development that comes as a major boost to their career prospects and earning capacity, major players like National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), IT-ITES Sector-Skill Council-NASSCOM and Visri Technologies Solutions Pvt Ltd have joined hands to pioneer a uniquely innovative initiative, Recognition for Prior Learning (RPL).
Today will mark a significantly eventful day for all those data entry operators, who slog it out day in and day out but get meagre financial rewards by way of monthly salaries. Thanks to the well-conceptualised Central Government project-Pradhan Mantri KoushalVikas Yojana-the Recognition for Prior Learning (RPL), which is a CDMA and MEPMA training programme, will usher in hope.
Recognition for Prior Learning (RPL) is an effort that aims to enhance the potential of these operators so that with the skills they would be acquiring during the learning process will hold them in good stead in future employments. The first batch of the programme has been launched to tremendous appreciation in the MEPMA office situated in AC Guards at Lakdikapool, Hyderabad.
In keeping with the significance of this innovative five-day programme, Dr TK Sree Devi, Director of Municipal Administration, Telangana State, was kind enough to inaugurate the State’s first IT-ITES RPL programme. Visri Technologies Solutions Pvt Ltd, which is executing the program, is also honoured with the presence of Dr Sandhya Chintala, Vice-president, NASSCOM, and CEO IT-ITES and LVandan Kumar, Additional Mission Director, MEPMA.
In order to make the programme qualitatively viable, the data entry operators will be mentored by seasoned professionals, who have been specifically chosen for this endeavour. On completion of the programme, the ‘trainees’ will have to undergo an Online test’ on the fifth and final day. They will subsequently be given certificates by IT-ITES Sector, which will be an envious and credible addition to their resume.
What’s more as a means to encourage fresh batch of students and to serve as a motivational tool, the successful and meritorious candidates will also be given a cash incentive of Rs 500 each. All data entry operators, who are keen to upgrade their working skills for a better livelihood, can register themselves with the Project Manager,Mr Satish-9100546668
