Charminar Pedestrianisation project going on at a fast pace

Charminar: Pedestrianisation Project at Charminar is going on at a fast pace and GHMC staff western side of the Charminar is dug up for constructing the basement of buffer zone. Works are expected to be completed in two or three months.

Once the project is over, only pedestrians are allowed in the buffer zones and no vehicle will be allowed. The State government is already moving ahead with construction of a multi-level parking facility at Charminar Bus Station.

Similarly, other arrangements like removal of encroachments and streamlining the road vendors is also going on simultaneously. The movement of tourists towards Laad Bazar is affected due to the recent diggings.
