Madhapur: Shilparamam Hyderabad and South Zone Cultural Centre, Thanjavur, have been jointly organising ‘Ugadi Vasanthostavalu’ from Friday at its premises for three days from 5pm onwards. A grand special programme that would add attraction on March 18 on Ugadi will be traditional Panchanga Sravanam by the Vedic Astrologer Sri Sagi Kamalakara Sharma, Assistant Professor in Osmania University. It will be followed by ‘Ugadi Navavasantham’ presented by Dr Himabindhu Kanoj.

The other highlight would be Kuchipudi Dance Style form followed by ‘Kathak Sambram’ presented by the International Kathak Artists Mr & Mrs Hari Chethana from Bangalore. The daily special attractions for the three-day celebrations are folk dances of ten States i.e Mathuri & Lambadi from Telangana, Kalklattam & Oyilaattam from Tamilnadu, Veeragasi from Karnataka, Kolkali & Charakuthikalai Dance from Kerala, Kaaliyattam by Puducherry, Garbha Raas Dance from Gujarat,

Gatka Dance from Punjab, Lavani & Koli Dance from Maharashtra, Chappeli, Ghasiyari, Thadiya and Chafla Dance from Uttarakhand, and Dholcholam from Manipur. The wonderful folk dances that were performed on Friday enthralled audience.
