Dr Vikranth Reddy of Care Hospital said, “Normally incompatible kidney transplant have antibody against the blood group to which are incompatible but Double Filtration plasmapheresis helps and transplant can be done. ABO incompatible transplantation is an option for patients who fail to find a compatible donor either in the family, and this type of surgery bring hope to those in dire need of the organ.

The pre transplant phase for ABOi Transplantation is tough because of 100% dedication from both the medical, surgical, Anesthesia team and the patient’s family”. Niladhan Singha underwent a successful transplantation on 12th April 2018. His wife Luwanglembi Singha 37 years was the kidney donor. Both are doing well.
