Sec’bad railway station bags prize for beautification

Hyderabad: The Secunderabad railway station bagged the third prize for beautifying its premises. The Rail Ministry had invited nominations for Stations where beautification has been done with participation of local artists.

The evaluation committee set up to review 62 entries received from 11 Zonal Railways, adjudged Secunderabad Railway Station as the Third Prize winning Station, while the First Prize went to Balharshah and Chandrapur and Second Prize to Madhubani and Madurai. Gandhidham and Kota shared the third prize with Secunderabad.

Secunderabad station has a new look with Cheriyal scroll paintings and welcome passengers at the two entrances to the station and adorn walls at the platform as well as waiting hall.
