Toilet at SR Nagar PS finally gets fixed
At least for now, after more than six months, the toilet in SR Nagar police station has latches and lights and became usable without any hesitation. On April 19, an article \'Use toilets under caution at this police station\' appeared in these columns, describing the plight of women users.

It was anembarrassing moment for women visitors when they had to use the toilet at the police station. Six months ago, a rowdy-sheeter from Yellareddyguda shot a selfie video in the toilet showing bruises on his body to drive his point home that police ‘tortured’ him at the station. The issue created quite a sensation and an enquiry was ordered into it.
Staff members of the police station removed the latches to prevent using cell phone in the toilet. But it has become a problem for women when men enter the toilet without knocking. After this issue received wide publicity, the staff of the police station changed their mind and fixed latches to the doors.
