Bhoomi puja for Uppal elevated corridor project today
Mayor Bonthu Rammohan, along with officials of the Roads and Buildings department and GHMC, on Friday inspected the arrangements for the foundation-laying ceremony for the Uppal elevated corridor project on May 5 to be attended by Union Minister Nitin Gadkari.

He later told press persons that Gadkari is to perform the ‘bhoomi puja’ for the project, to cover spots from ORR, Medak, Aramghar, Shamshabad, Amberpet Chenumber, Uppal, along with Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, Deputy CM Mohd Mahmood Ali, Ministers Naini Narsimha Reddy, Tummala Nageswara Rao in Hyderabad Public School, Ramanthpur.
The Mayor, along with some GHMC corporators, said the project would get the lion’s share of funds from GHMC. Among those present were TRS Uppal constituency in-charge Bethi Subash Reddy, Corporators Bethi Swapna, Gandham Jyotsna Nageswara Rao, Mekala Ananla Hanmanth Reddy, Puli Gajan, TRS leaders Gandham Nageswara Rao, Garika Sudhakar, Aratikayala Bhaskar, Tavidaboyina Giribabu, Chintala Narsimha Reddy.
