Speaking on the implementation of Rythu Bandhu Scheme, the Deputy Speaker said her government had earmarked 10 percent of the budget this year for crop investment support in the form of cheques of Rs. 4000 per acre for agricultural land holders in the state.

From sowing to selling the crops, the government has been supporting the farmers in many ways such as investment support, fertilisers, seeds, free power supply, irrigation water, subsidies, MSPs, procurement centres and insurance to change the lives of peasants who produce food for the state and the country as well, she noted.

The Medak MLA said that Rs. 97 crore allotted for Narsingi Constituency under RBS and she was trying to increase the irrigation land to 1 lakh more in the area by the Kondapaocahmma and Mallanna Sagar reservoirs under Kaleshwaram project by the end of the year. The Deputy Speaker alleged that the previous governments had neglected the agriculture sector and now the TRS government was determined and dedicated for the upliftment of lives of farmers in the state.
