No need to borrow money for raising crops: Minister Mahender
Transport Minister Mahender Reddy on Monday distributed pattadar passbooks and input subsidy under the Rythu Bandhu scheme among farmers of Sirigiripeta, Konapur, Gotlapalli, Lakshminarayanapur, Korviched, Mandhangoud, Marpalli, Nagasamundar, Gorepalli and Mukundapur of Tandur, Peddemul, Basheerabad and Malal mandals of Vikarabad district.
Tandur: Transport Minister Mahender Reddy on Monday distributed pattadar passbooks and input subsidy under the Rythu Bandhu scheme among farmers of Sirigiripeta, Konapur, Gotlapalli, Lakshminarayanapur, Korviched, Mandhangoud, Marpalli, Nagasamundar, Gorepalli and Mukundapur of Tandur, Peddemul, Basheerabad and Malal mandals of Vikarabad district.
In the past farmers used to borrow from money lenders to raise crops, he said, adding that it was not necessary now. He asked the farmers to achieve economic progress with the financial support extended to them by the state government and set an example for others to emulate.
He further added, “This is a good opportunity for the farmers to make the most and not to get into debts and eliminate middlemen forever.” TSMIDC chairman P Krishna Murthy, ZPTC and MPTC and others took part in the programme.
