The government of Telangana who has recently implemented Rythu Bandhau scheme under which farmers will get Rs 4,000 per acre, the tenant farmer who grows the crops has no benefits in this scheme as they have to give away 50 per cent of the crop, said Justice Chandra Kumar at a press conference here on Thursday.

Demanding rights to the farmers, Kumar said that the crops grown on government lands and forest lands were not been regularised till date. He said that the lands were being registered on the name of businessmen only and not on farmers’ name.

Ceiling land GO was issued and according to the GO the government should enquire on details of the lands owners and the government should also confiscate lands beyond the ceiling and redistribute to the landless farmers.

The justice demanded that the tenant farmers should get identity cards and the Rythu Bandhau scheme should be implemented on the tenant farmers and also this scheme should be provided to the farmers who grow crops. He also demanded that the government should provide zero interest loans, government should also provide seeds, pesticides and other materials to grow the crops.
