Vikarabad: District Superintendent of Police Annapurna on Wednesday warned people against disrupt peace in society through sharing false propaganda and voice messages on the social media and appealed to people not to get carried away by rumours.

She appealed to villagers not to resort to physical abuse of the innocent on the basis of baseless social media reports. As stated in viral social media messages, no gangs from Bihar, Cheddi Gang and Paarthiv Gang descended on the district, clarifies the SP. Child lifting and slitting their throats by the criminal gangs was totally false, she said.

The police machinery has been put on the highest alert to protect the people. She asked the people to report the movements of suspicious persons by calling 100 and advised the people against taking the law into their hands. The police would not spare those who take the law into their hands, she warned.
