The videos and audio clips are widely being disseminated in the state saying that nearly 500 deadly killers from Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra, who are also said to be cannibals, had come to the north Telangana in batches and are attacking and killing the people brutally and eating up the internal organs of the humans.

The videos that are being circulated on the popular mobile social networking platform WhatsApp show some unknown or strange dark skinned people who were reportedly wandering on the streets in the villages being beaten up on the guise of thieves, kidnappers and deadly killers carrying sharp weapons.

Fake news being circulated

However, the CP scotched the rumours of deadly gangs being circulated on WhatsApp in the district and cleared the air by stating that those all were fake news and baseless rumours circulated by some rumourmongers. “There will be no lifethreat to the children and adults as the whole police department is all alert and is on the close surveillance. No such gangs are wandering in the district and not even in the neighbouring districts so far.

Those kind of false news should be avoided and If anyone resort to forward such kind of news or videos to other people causing panic situation, they will be nabbed and punished according to the IT Act, she said. People can inform the police if anyone is found suspicious in their area by calling 100, mentioned the officer.
