The Governor of Telugu States ESL Narasimhan along with his wife, visited Sri Anantha Padmanabha Swamy temple, here on Friday. They offered prayers to the adorned form of yesterday and the true form of the Lord on the auspicious occasion of Ekadasi. They presented silk robes to the Lord.

The temple authorities accorded traditional welcome to the couple. They explained him about the significance of the temple. The Governor joined the chorus of Vedic Chanting along with the pundits. Later he lighted the lamp at lamp post on the temple premises. He offered prayers at Dhwaja Stambha and made rounds around it. The Governor told the priests that the climate here is pleasant.
