Mallapur women demand Mahila Bhavan
There are close to 30 women groups who have availed DWCRA loans in Mallapur area and have been actively engaged in several small businesses. The women demanded a Mahila Bhavan in the area stating that it would be easy for them to conduct meetings.

Corporator Pannala Devender Reddy assured the construction of a Mahila Bhavan at the meeting of Samaikya-1 BC area mahila group here on Thursday. There are six divisions in Kapra and each one has 20-30 women groups with each consisting of 10 members.
Urmila, one of the members of Mallapur division, said, “Thanks to the loans, many women are now financially sound but there is a need for a separate hall to hold meetings and developmental activities.” The corporator urged the women to utilise government loans properly and pay back in time. Group president Urmila, secretary Parvin, vice-president Uppalamma, vice secretary Rukia Bhanu, treasurer Lakshmi were present.
