Balapur locals told not to believe in rumours

Balapur: Following the recent attacks on strangers misunderstanding them to be child-lifters, the police officials are trying their best to educate and nullify the impact of the rumours and fake news. They are trying to create awareness among people by counselling them to ascertain the correctness of any news reaching them. Similar awareness meeting was also held in Balapur area by the police.

People were told not to believe and spread rumours about strangers indulging in kidnapping and murdering children. People were advised to approach police if they found any suspicious person in their locality and not to take law into their hands. A public announcement was also organised in different areas of Balapur.
