Officials hold surprise inspection in hotels
The sanitary supervisors made surprise inspection in hotels and juice stalls about the illegal usage of plastic. Directed by the Municipal Commissioner Srinivas Reddy, the officials seized 18 kg of polythene bags which are less than 50 microns and slapped Rs 2600 as penalty.

The Commissioner directed that the staff should inspect at grassroot level everyday and see that the use of illegal polythene should be abandoned. He advised the citizens to carry jute bags to discourage plastic use. He appealed them to become part in the protection of environment.
He wanted every citizen of the town should contribute to make Siddipet a plastic-free town. He said the inspection will continue further. Sanitary supervisors Satyanarayana, Nagesh, health assistants Maqbool, Bala Yellam, environmental engineer Chandan, Umesh, Narsim participated in the inspection.
