Gajwel: Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao on Thursday held a review meeting on the progress of construction of double bedroom houses in Gajwel constituency. Medak MP Prabhakar Reddy, State Housing Corporation Chairman Bhoomi Reddy, GADA OSD Hanumantha Rao, Municipal Chairman G Bhaskar and Panchayat Raj, RWS, Municipal and other department officials, agency and public representatives took part in the meeting.

The Minister enquired about the progress of construction of 1,250 2BHK houses including Journalist Colony under Gajwel Municipality at the constituency headquarters. He ordered the officials to complete the government’s prestigious scheme by the end of August month by increasing the speed of constructions with the help of agencies to complete the total 4,400 houses.

The Minister emphasised that officials and engineers of the project not to forget the timeline of the scheme to accomplish with coordination paying special attention and the allotment of the 2BHK houses for the poor should also be done transparency without any irregularities. MPDOs were entrusted to prepare the lists of eligible beneficiaries in every village in the constituency.

Later, the Minister inspected the renovation and recreation works at Pandavula Cheruvu. Also the lawmaker inspected the integrated veg and non-veg market and auditorium at the town and ordered the officials to make it ready for June 15th inauguration.

The Auditorium with centralised air condition facility with 1,500 seating capacity and a mini auditorium with 300 seating capacity with state of the art design will be thrown open by the Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao in this month.

Later, Minister Harish Rao, Deputy Chief Minister Mahamood Ali and others participated in Iftar party at the local mosque along with scores of locals on the occasion of Ramadan festival.
