Hastinapuram: The mood was upbeat, the air was filled with excitement, parents and dropouts reached the ZPH School for a meeting with the corporator Ramavath Padma Srinu Naik on Friday who urged the people to admit their children in Government Schools.

She organised Badi Baata programme at Nandavanam Basthi. The corporator said that government schools would provide free uniforms, books and mid-day meals to the students. She asked the parents to send their school dropouts back to education. Most parents are daily wage labourers, some work at construction sites, as cobblers, in farms and in nearby villages. When they have a tough time to make both ends meet, they ask the students to stop going to school and help them earn money.
