Delicious food and drinks are an indispensable part. Youngsters stay awake throughout the night and also partake in the awakening ritual by knocking on the doors of rozedars. Like in the Purani Haveli area of Old City, even near Moula Ali Kaman there are many naan and kulcha making joints.

Rahmat Ali, a resident says, “It is probably the only area in Secunderabad where one get to savour kulchas that are as good as the ones near Charminar.” A number of people from nearby districts come to the Moula Ali dargah during the holy month and that adds to the festive atmosphere.
