Under the supervision of Kapra Circle deputy commissioner Yadagiri Rao, GHMC officials conducted surprise raids on 30 shops from ECIL junction to Kushaiguda on Tuesday. They seized the banned plastic covers and fined the owners about Rs 11,900.

They demonstrated the seized plastic covers at Circle office to create awareness among the people. In charge AMOH Uma Gowri, SS Dhana Goud, jawans, sanitary field assistants took part.
