Awareness drive on plastic ban in govt schools

With ongoing plastic ban in the city, the social worker Ravinder Mudiraju reached out to as many as government schools to bring awareness among students over the ban and to educate them the ill-effects of usage of plastic. He advised students not to purchase plastic bags at any grocery shops; vegetable markets etc and also said them to ensure that the family members also follow the same.

Apart from that, he urged the Greater Hyderabad Municipality Corporation (GHMC) officials at Prajavani programme at GHMC office to ensure that the weekly markets were not using plastic to sell their products. A request letter with regards to the issue was also submitted. The programme was attended by K Lakshman and others.
