As part of ‘no plastic usage’ campaign, the GHMC officials undertook awareness programme in schools, where children and as well as teachers were educated about ill-effects of using plastic. 

Hyderabad: As part of ‘no plastic usage’ campaign, the GHMC officials undertook awareness programme in schools, where children and as well as teachers were educated about ill-effects of using plastic.

The GHMC officials in Rajendranagar, Santosh Nagar and Chandrayangutta visited schools in their respective jurisdiction and asked the students to shun usage of plastic bags.

In Rajendranagar, the officials visited Solitaire Global School at Janachaitanya colony and conducted awareness programme with the help of presentation and interaction with the students.

While in Santosh Nagar, the officials reached out to the students of Government High School, Subramanya Nagar and interacted with students and motivated them not to use plastic.

Later the students also took oath that they will reduce the plastic usage in their day-to-day lives. Under Chandrayangutta, local corporator, Saleem Baig accompanied the officials to Owaisi School of Excellence located in Jamal colony in Rakshapuram.

In Rajendranagar awareness was also generated amongst common people where Mailardevpally corporator, Tokala Srinivas Reddy donated steel plates and other utensils near Aramghar cross roads.
