Hyderabad: Social activist Prof Kancha Ilaiah on Wednesday demanded official observation of Telangana farmers armed struggle leader Doddi Komaraiah’s death anniversary.
He was addressing Doddi Komaraiah’s 72 death anniversary meeting organised by Telangana Gorrela, Mekala Pepamkamdarla Sangham (GMPS) at Sundarayya Vignana Kendram. He along with former MLC Cherupalli Seetha Ramulu demanded Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to construct a memorial to Komaraiah at Hyderabad, which he had promised four years back. They blamed the government for allotting land which has been under legal dispute. GMPS state president Gopal, general secretary Vudatha Ravinder, leader Jangaiah were present.
