Jubilee Hills: During Peak hours, commuters face traffic nightmare at road no 10, Banjara Hills since Shree Maharaja Agrasen Chowk circle has turned into a traffic trap. The commuters passing through road no. 92 in Jubilee Hills must take a U-turn by passing through road no. 10 to enter road no. 12 at Banjara Hills which is just a few paces away.

Earlier, the Chowk circle was open to the commuters who were passing from road no 92 to road no 12 at Banjara Hills, now barricades have been installed at the circle preventing the free flow to commuters and forcing them to take long u turns. While heavy vehicles such as trucks and Telangana State Road Transport corporation (TSRTC) buses often get struck creating congestion on road no. 10, Banjara Hills.

Anjeneya Verma, a pet store worker, at road no. 92 said. “The traffic is horrific during the peak hours, and these closed barricades are also leading to many accidents. Since drivers must take long u turns, most of them take the wrong side to cross the road.” Mohammed Uddin, a passenger who travels from Tolichowki to Banjara Hills for work, said, “Sometimes this congestion blocks the roads for hours; while heavy vehicles have a difficulty crossing this path since the road is inclined at higher angle. However, during night hours it is kept open for the commuters.” Several attempts were made to contact traffic police officials of Banjara Hills limit, while the officials kept passing the buck and all efforts went in vain.
