Parigi: Several cases relating to banks, Excise department and petty criminal cases were resolved at the national Lok Adalat Session held here on Saturday. Judge Bharati advocated compromise between litigants for amicable settlement of petty cases. She called for sensitising villagers on laws of the land to prevent crimes. She observed that villagers are doing rounds to courts for years together losing their precious time and money.

She said that the poorest of the poor would be given legal aid free of cost and exhorted them to make use of the facility. The session resolved several cases including a civil case, a cheque bounce case and 23 excise related cases. Assistant public prosecutor Deepa Kaarani, senior advocates Anant Reddy, Lingam, Balamukunda, Damodar, Kaisar pasha and others took part in the session.
