Vikarabad: A man strangulated his wife to death on Sunday night and later he gave up himself before the police. The victim was identified as Aktar Begum. The accused was Abdul Raheem, a resident of Mittabasupalli in Tandurmandal of Vikarabad district.
The couple was united in a wedlock against wishes of the elders and their’s was a love marriage. From the marriage, the couple got a baby girl. Recently, clashes occurred between the two for reasons best known to them. More recently, they clashed on Sunday. Their relatives worked out a compromise and left there.
Close on their heels, the coupled entered into a wordy duel. In a fit of rage, Abdul strangulated her to death. Rural CI Saidi Reddy sent the body to post-mortem and is investigating the case.
