An Economics Offence Wing EOW for rendering instant justice to victims of economic offences and to check them has been launched in Cyberbad Police Commissionerate It will function under the supervision of Commissioner V C Sajjanar An investigation into many such crimes is going on in the Commissionerate under his stewardship
Serilingampally: An Economics Offence Wing (EOW) for rendering instant justice to victims of economic offences and to check them has been launched in Cyberbad Police Commissionerate. It will function under the supervision of Commissioner V C Sajjanar. An investigation into many such crimes is going on in the Commissionerate under his stewardship.
The wing will look into offences involving over Rs.50 lakh, white-collar crimes, cheating by banks/chitfund firms, fake visas, passport cases, cases of financial cheating, job frauds, MLM scheme. It will register Suo motu cases, besides those suggested by the commissioner. The wing will be supervised by and provided suggestions by Traffic DCP Vijay Kumar and Additional DCP (Traffic) Praveen Kumar. The staff will include two CIs and ten field level staffers. The recent ‘Karakkayala Podi’ case, involving amounts ranging from Rs.400 to Rs.5 crore, is being referred to the wing.
