Protocol tussle mars Water ATM launch

Bagh Lingampally: Minister Naini Narasimha Reddy on Thursday said that they were committed to provide safe drinking water to the citizens. He along with local corporator Srinivas Reddy inaugurated Water ATM installed by GHMC at Sundarayya Park. He called upon TRS party cadre to strive hard to reach the government’s welfare schemes to the people.
Meanwhile, BJP leaders raised protocol issue for not putting local MLA’s photo on the water ATM. Responding to this, the Minister also alleged that BJP leaders were also not following the protocol. It led to tense situation between the two sides. Police personnel in the vicinity intervened and pacified the two groups. Later, BJP leaders criticised that installation of Water ATM worth Rs 6.5 lakh without full-fledged facilities was nothing but wastage of public money. GHMC Deputy Commissioner Krishna Shekar, EE and local leaders were present.
