Musheerabad: The Telangana State Sarpanches’ Association has appealed to the TRS government to appoint the present sarpanches as person-in-charge of gram panchayats.
Thousands of sarpanches to attend convention in Sundayya Vignana Kendram, along with several ministers and VIPs today
Founder-president of the Association Sadani Bhumanna Yadav made the appeal while speaking to press persons at Sundarayya Vignana Kendram on Sunday. He pointed out that continuation of the present sarpanches as in charges of GPs was necessary to ensure all-round development of village and implementation of government’s welfare schemes. This, he stated, would pave the way for Telangana earning a good name in the country for taking up welfare activities.
Yadav said thousands of sarpanches from various parts of the state would attend a convention in Sundayya Vignana Kendram, along with several ministers and VIPs, on Monday to press the demand for making the sarpanches as person-in-charge of GPs. Among those present at the press conference were state BC Sangham president Jajula Srinivas Goud, association general secretary Challarapu Venkat Reddy Bathula Varalakshmi, vice-president Bathula Varalakshmi , secretary Bathula Sudhakar Yadav.
