Tandur: The CPI on Monday submitted a memorandum urging the Tahsildar to ensure implementation of the poll promises made by the TRS at the time of last elections. The CPI said that the advisory council promised by the TRS is yet to materialize. Only 14,000 houses for the poor could be built (2BHK) as againt 6 lakh by neighbouring states. Pending bills of INDIRAMMA houses not cleared, of the promised 1.20 lakh government jobs promised, only 24000 were filled.

The 12 per cent quota for Muslims still remained a non starter and releasing Rs 1100 crore loan at concessional rate of interest (pavala vaddi) confined to papers. The CPI Parigi Division secretary Peer Mohammad said that the railway coach factory, the steel factory at Bayyaram and exclusive high court remained mere promises. He demanded the state and central governments to immediately fulfill the promises.
