Revenue staff demolishes illegal constructions

Qutbullapur: The Revenue department staff on Monday demolished illegal constructions in Kattamaisamma locality of Devendernagar in Gajularamaram division. The demolition follows complaints by local residents after the Revenue staff took up a large-scale drive to pull down the illegal construction three days back, where the structures have been re-built. Village Revenue Officer Rajnikanth, VRAs Satyanarayana,Vasu and their staff took part in the demolition drive.
The Revenue staff is allegedly hesitating to registering cases against land grabbers as they enjoy patronage of influential persons, besides the department itself. As a result, the land-grabbers are resorting to re-construction of the demolished rooms/structures and managing to earn lakhs, by occupying government lands.
