Hyderabad: With the active cooperation of around 28 departments from Union and State Government all the preparations for the Haj Camp 2018 were completed by the Telangana State Haj Committee on Monday

Mohammed Masiullah Khan Chairman informed that the first Special haj flight would take off from Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Shamshabad at 7:30 am on August 1. Mohammed Mahmood Ali, deputy chief Minister will flag off the first batch of pilgrims at Haj Camp and also the Haj Terminal. Higher government officials, dignitaries and members of the Haj committee would be present.

The Haj pilgrims would have to start reporting for their flights 48 hours before their scheduled flight. This time the Haj committee has provided the facility of online reporting at the website of the Haj Committee, saving time and efforts of the pilgrims. In view of the rainy season, special water proof shed has been erected in the Haj Camp. The area has been illuminated and wore a festive look.

Prof SA Shakoor, special officer informed that this year 25 chartered flights of Saudi Arabian Airlines would carry 7,232 pilgrims to Makkah enroute Jeddah till August 16, of them 4,390 belong to Telangana, 1725 to Andhra Pradesh and 1168 to Karnataka. The pilgrims clad in Ehram (two white unsewn sheets of cloths) will leave the Haj Camp for airport by Special RTC buses in the early hours of August 1.
