Gajwel: The tree guards used for the saplings planted during Haritha Haram programme at Gajwel are being stolen from the avenue plantation sites and misused by the local people at the town for private purpose.

According to the orders by the district Collector, Gajwel Municipality Commissioner N Krishna Reddy identified some of the locals including Vilas Dresses and A Narsimlu of the town and imposed a fine of Rs 150 each as per Municipality Act.

The Commissioner also warned the locals not to misuse the tree guards and to protect the plants by watering in front of their houses in the limits of the municipality to achieve the aim of Chief Minister.
